According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are evaluating the possibility of moving ahead of time to sign Aouar and not waiting for next summer when his contract is currently due to expire.
The paper claims that a figure of around €8m could be enough to land the 24-year-old midfielder six months before the expiration of his deal, and that is a rather affordable figure considering that his true market value is far higher.
It also seems like a potential bargain when considering that Lyon rejected an offer worth €50m for Aouar from Arsenal ‘a few years ago’ as per the report, whereas now he could go for a figure that is less than 20% of the amount that the Premier League side had put forward.
