Report: Milan targeting Athletico Paranaense left-back as new deputy to Theo

AC Milan are in the market for a new left-back to find a reliable deputy to Theo Hernandez and they have turned their attentions to Brazil, it is claimed.

According to NicoSchira (via Torcedores), Milan have set their sights on Athletico Paranese’s 21-year-old full-back Abner Vinícius and the Rossoneri have already contacted his agent to open talks about a potential deal.

Abner Vinícius has a contract until the end of 2024, and as per the report he has a market value of around €10m, having joined the Ponte Preta club back in 2019. He has also recently been linked with a move to Manchester City.

Fode Ballo-Toure has not convinced Milan and that is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are already hard at work looking for his replacement, and as we reported it is likely to be a young player who could arrive and grow behind the Frenchman without pressure.
