CM.it: From Belotti to David and Ekitike – the factors Milan’s striker pursuit depends on

AC Milan know that they need to make an investment on a centre-forward at some point and they have a few names in their orbit, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Rossoneri are enjoying the emergence of Olivier Giroud and are hoping that Zlatan Ibrahimovic can soon return to contributing, but their respective ages of 35 and 41 mean planning for the future is necessary.

Milan are looking to permanently sign Sven Botman and Renato Sanches, and they might also try to both push through the permanent signing of Brahim Diaz and look for a winger, so it remains to be seen if the budget will be there to sign a €30-40m striker.

The Andrea Belotti idea has never gone away, with the boyhood Rossoneri fan waiting for a call from Milan to make his dream come true, but for the time being Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are not willing to totally commit to signing him.

With the right economic leverage, they would go back to France where Lille’s Jonathan David – who has 16 goals this season – and Hugo Ekitike – who has 10 goals for Reims – would be targets. However, the first is worth €40m and the second is a €30m+ already given the competition involved.
