AC Milan think that the contract renewal of Ismael Bennacer is just as important as the renewal of Rafael Leao’s contract, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are hoping to hold a meeting with the agent of Bennacer in the next few days to further the chance of the Algerian signing a new contract.
Bennacer will not be at the Qatar World Cup which means he is more available for contract discussions than Leao. It is expected that any new deal will see him earn €4 million plus bonuses which is a big raise on the €1.5 million that he currently gets each season.
There is interest in Bennacer from Premier League clubs which is why Milan know it is very important to get his future secured as soon as possible, hence viewing it as just as important as the Leao renewal which will be picked up after the World Cup.
