MN: Milan have dropped 14 points to bottom half teams

Disappointment is high around Milan following crucially dropped points against Bologna, with the 0-0 draw being put into worrying context by one outlet.

Stefano Pioli’s side looked panicked as they lost all composure in front of goal on Monday night, wasting several chances despite peppering the Bologna goal.

MilanNews have highlighted the damning reality of the draw, which makes it 14 points that the Rossoneri have dropped against sides in the bottom half of the Serie A table.

Within those 14 dropped points are two 1-1 draws against Udinese, a 2-2 stalemate with Salernitana, and defeats to both Spezia and Sassuolo. The Rossoneri’s continued tendencies to come unstuck against the so-called ‘smaller’ sides is concerning and highlights technical weaknesses throughout areas of the squad.

But while Monday’s 0-0 draw is disappointing, the Scudetto is still in Milan’s hands, who have shown they can edge out their main rivals. Improvements are needed to get over the line.
