FourFourTwo: Milan boss Pioli ranked among top 10 coaches in the world

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has been named as the fifth-best football manager in the world, according to a report.

The ranking was created by UK-based football magazine Four Four Two (via Calciomercato.com) and it showed how highly Pioli is ranked at the moment.

The top coach is Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, followed by Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, and then Tottenham Hotspur’s Antonio Conte.

Pioli then comes in at number five thanks to the Scudetto that he delivered for Milan last season, ending a long wait since 2011.

For Italy as a whole, it is very impressive that there are three Italians in the top five coaches in the world.

In terms of where other Italians and some of Pioli’s direct rivals are positioned, Italy boss Roberto Mancini is 18th, Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini is 23rd, and Napoli’s Luciano Spalletti is 27th.

Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri has not made the top 50.
