Tuttosport: Milan have two missions after De Ketelaere signing – both depend on PSG

Now AC Milan have wrapped up the signing of Charles De Ketelaere, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have turned their attention to the other reinforcements needed.

As reported this morning by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the directors know that a centre-back is needed and Abdou Diallo of Paris Saint-Germain is the number one target. Milan are hoping for a loan with option to buy given that he is not in PSG’s plans.

The Senegal international would be preferred to Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga, not just because he has greater experience but also and above all because he can also act as a left-back if necessary. Once a new defender has arrived, the Rossoneri will sanction Matteo Gabbia’s loan to Sampdoria.

Milan’s dream is to convince Renato Sanches to join as Franck Kessie’s replacement but since he learned of PSG’s possible interest he has had his mind set on that. The Rossoneri management are waiting and hoping that the Ligue 1 champions will not make a concrete move, while Maldini has made a bid that Lille accepted.

In terms of alternatives, Carney Chukwuemeka of Aston Villa is on the list but there is big competition to land him, while Pape Mate Sarr of Tottenham is an option too.
