MN: Milan expect from Origi given experience and salary – turning point must come soon

One of the criticisms that has been aimed at AC Milan this season is the lack of contribution from the summer transfer market, and Divock Origi is a symbol of that at the moment.

MilanNews recall that Origi arrived on a free transfer after winning a Champions League and a Premier League as a protagonist with Liverpool. The Belgian has had various difficulties since his arrival, starting with the fact he missed virtually all of the preseason preparation due to the continuation of a muscle issue he picked up at the end of his time in England.

With a few minor injuries since the tally reads as follows: 16 matches played, 1 goal scored and 1 assist amassed, both of which against Monza on 22 October. He has missed eight games which means that he has not been non-existent, but so far he has proven to be an unreliable deputy to Olivier Giroud.

A turning point is expected from the summer additions and above all from Origi, who has won everything in his career at club level, and he was often decisive in key victories for the Reds such as against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals, in the final that followed against Spurs and in several Merseyside derbies.

If the likes of De Ketelaere, Vranckx and Thiaw can be given more time to show their full potential, the Belgian must turn a corner quickly given his experience but also his salary, perhaps starting on Tuesday in the capital against Lazio.
