GdS: Milan set to secure Giroud renewal with new meeting after the transfer window

AC Milan are set to meet with Olivier Giroud after the transfer window has closed to secure his new contract extension, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri have got no concerns over keeping Giroud at the club and will meet with him at the start of February.

The 36-year-old is expected to sign a new deal that will keep him at the club for another season, with his current contract expiring at the end of the current campaign.

The player has shown no interest in leaving Milan despite the fact that he is allowed to negotiate a contract with other clubs as his deal runs down.

The club certainly wants to keep him given he is the main striker and, whilst out of form right now, has probably been Stefano Pioli’s most important player this season along with Sandro Tonali and Rafael Leao.
