GdS: Milan likely to invest in a striker this summer – €40m+ Atalanta sensation a target

A number of teams are interested in signing striker Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta as he continues to impress in his first Serie A season, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how Hojlund has already scored five goals in the league this season with the most recent being in the six-pointer against Lazio at the Olimpico on Saturday.

He was acquired by the Bergamo club last summer from Sturm Graz for €17m but now his value has already at least doubled and is destined to reach €40m soon, with several Italian and foreign clubs keen on the Dane.

Among the clubs keen is Milan, who are likely to make an important investment in the centre-forward role in the summer, however the Rossoneri have competitions from Inter, Juventus and Napoli as well, and it won’t be easy to beat the interest from the Premier League teams too,.

If the Nerazzurri, Bianconeri and Neapolitans could sign Hojlund to possibly replace one of the current forwards (Lukaku, Vlahovc or Osimhen), for Milan the 20-year-old would represent a reinforcement for the attack and could become a new starter depending on what the plans are for Giroud and Ibrahimovic.
