It is nothing new for AC Milan to be fined this season, so much so that Tuesday’s bill did not come as a surprise. However, it has added up.

This season, Milan have regularly been given fines for their inability to turn up in a timely matter for the start of second halves. So much so that is has become a bit of a running theme for the season. It almost feels like second nature now to check the statement from the Sporting Judge.

Against Napoli, they were charged another €25,000, thanks to delaying the first half and second half kick-offs. However, even without the latest punishment, they would lead the Serie A fine table.

Milan’s fines add up

MilanNews, as seen below, created a graphic today, showing that the Rossoneri have been fined €146,500 this season, more than anyone else. Lecce sit in second, being fined €117k through the season.

There is something more concerning, though. Sassuolo sit bottom of the table after their €4k in fines, Como sit 11th with €21k. Milan have collected more in fines this season than the 10 teams in the bottom half combined.

In fact, the total is €136.5k, so there is even a bit of leverage. Ridiculous numbers, really.
