AC Milan have still got an eye on Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara as offers will be listened to during the January window, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan management are already at work to avoid being caught unprepared for the January transfer market. The priority is a central defender who can make up for the absence of a fundamental player like Simon Kjaer but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara also have an eye on potential opportunities that may arise.
This is where Kamara’s name comes into the equation. The Marseille star has no intention of renewing his contract which is expiring next summer and for this reason their president Pablo Longoria has decided to evaluate all the offers that come next month.
Milan must move if they want the Frenchman, who could be a quality alternative in the midfield given Kessie and Bennacer will leave for AFCON while he can also play centre-back. Kamara is also attracting interest from Manchester United and Newcastle who can probably offer a higher salary.
