By all accounts, the Conceicao era at Milan will end this summer, with all parties seemingly looking for a new start. However, we are still no closer to an actual understanding of the future, with Igli Tare reportedly considering talks with the coach.
Logically, these would take place this week, whilst the managerial market is also assessed. But it seems that even then, time is being pushed.
As Milan News write, this summer, there could once again be a head coach reshuffle in Serie A, with Milan and Roma definitely seeking new coaches. However, Inter, Juventus, Napoli, Atalanta and Lazio could each seek new ideas.
Despite each of these clubs having a coach already, it seems the Rossoneri would be behind them in the search for a replacement. The reason why? Because, yet again, the Diavolo moved late in the race, just as they did last summer.
After the season collapsed, there was plenty of time to recalculate the future, with or without Conceicao. Instead, though, the club saw out the season with Conceicao, despite months of what ifs.
Just as was the case with Paulo Fonseca, it seems Milan may, again, be forced to go for someone away from the ‘elite’ due to their own timing.
