Sky: Pioli’s selection choices ahead of Juventus game getting clearer but key doubt remains

AC Milan face a huge test on Sunday night when they face a resurgent Juventus side at San Siro and some team news has begun to emerge.

Sky reports that the good news for Stefano Pioli is that Alessio Romagnoli will be back into the starting line-up, with the Italian returning after his absence over the past couple of weeks due to Covid. He trained yesterday at Milanello and with Tomori and Kjaer injured, he will definitely start against Juventus and is likely to partner Pierre Kalulu over Matteo Gabbia.

Theo Hernandez will be the left-back while Alessandro Florenzi is the favourite to get the on the right as he is still ahead of Davide Calabria from a condition point of view. Sandro Tonali returns and Ismael Bennacer could actually end up on the bench if Algeria get eliminated from AFCON today.

The biggest doubt at the moment concerns the attack and whether Rade Krunic or Brahim Diaz will be the centre-back behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The choice regarding wingers is not mentioned in the article.
