GdS: Milan player ratings from Hellas Verona win – several players get high praise

Several AC Milan players were deserving of praise after their performance in last night’s win against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have published their player ratings in today’s edition, starting with the overall team score of 8 out of 10, and the same mark for Stefano Pioli. Sandro Tonali scored a brace on his birthday and got an 8, while Theo Hernandez (6) struggled the most.

Mike Maignan got a 6, Davide Calabria received a 6.5, while Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori each got a 7 in what was an improved defensively display after Verona’s opener. Franck Kessie and Alexis Saelemaekers each got a 6.5.

Rade Krunic got a rare start as a playmaker and was worthy of a 7, with Rafael Leao getting an 8 for his two assists and Olivier Giroud getting a 6. Junior Messias and Ante Rebic got a 6.5 for their impact off the bench, and Ismael Bennacer got a 6.
