AC Milan secured all three points in their first Serie A game of 2023, comfortably beating Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Sunday afternoon.
The majority of the work was done in the first half as Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s lovely strike put Milan ahead and Olivier Giroud converted a penalty, with Chaka Traore getting the third goal in the closing stages to cap a commanding win.
It is a win which opens up a bit of space after Fiorentina and Bologna dropped points earlier in the round, with Atalanta and Roma playing out a 1-1 draw. Below are the reactions of the players on social media…
