Sven Botman

AC Milan held a meeting with the agents of Sven Botman today at Casa Milan and it seems that some progress was made, according to Fabrizio Romano.

According to what the Sky journalist is saying on Twitter, Milan have confirmed to Botman’s entourage that their intention is to sign the Dutch centre-back in June as ‘priority target’. Not only that, but Romano adds it was a ‘positive, direct meeting’ in Milano today.

However, the Rossoneri are not alone in their pursuit. Newcastle United have been pushing for months to sign the 22-year-old – who was a Ligue 1 winner with Lille last season – but Milan want Botman and they won’t give up.

Milan are looking for a long-term partner for Fikayo Tomori in the centre of their defence and it seems as though Botman is the player that they have chosen despite links with a number of other targets.
