AC Milan’s attack appears to have become over-reliant on Rafael Leao and they are at risk of seeing him burn out, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how this year the Portuguese has made a leap in quality and consistency given he has 11 goals and 6 assists in 29 appearances across all competitions, which is a good return and certainly justifies the faith of the management to stick with him for another season.

However, he is only 22 years of age and while his talent is unquestionable, there is a risk that the attacking department could lean on him too much and he may become less effective as a result.

The former Sporting CP and Lille forward is the man that Stefano Pioli cannot do without, but he must create alternative solutions or there is a risk of the attack becoming predictable. Giroud, Brahim, Rebic, Messias and Saelemaekers simply must get going.
