GdS: Milan very close to agreeing deal for Portuguese midfielder worth a total €50m

AC Milan are closing in on being able to call Renato Sanches their first summer midfield signing as talks are progressing well, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Milan now seem to have taken a big step towards the purchase of Renato Sanches who, after Divock Origi, will be the second summer mercato acquisition by the Rossoneri management.

The paper adds that Milan and Lille are not far from finding an agreement over the Portuguese midfielder who will have the task of replacing Franck Kessié in Stefano Pioli’s tactical plans.

The transfer fee should be around €20m while the player is expected to sign a four-year deal worth €4m net per season, therefore a total of around €16m net or €30m gross when factoring in the Growth Decree tax relief scheme.

In addition to Renato Sanches, Milan and Lille are also talking about the future of Sven Botman whose price (€30m) is still an obstacle.
