Sky: Milan waiting for Leao’s response after ‘maximum’ offer – “The sensations seem good”

AC Milan are continuing negotiations with the entourage of Rafael Leao and things seem more positive than they have done in recent months.

Leao has been named in the starting line-up for tonight’s game against Salernitana and is looking for his first goal in two months given the last time he netted in the league was during the 2-2 draw against Lecce in January.

Peppe Di Stefano spoke on Sky (via MilanNews) about Leao’s renewal situation and he confirmed that Milan do not want to get to next season with Leao’s deal set to expire, adding that everyone’s intention ‘is to move forward together’, but that a ‘financial balance must be found’.

Milan have ‘offered the maximum’ that they are willing to and now it’s up to the player to decide whether or not to accept the Rossoneri’s proposal.

Di Stefano added that the ‘feeling is that the road is no longer uphill like it was months ago’ and that the ‘sensations seem good’ as the negotiations continue.
