MN: Brahim Diaz becomes an unused sub – Milan must resolve his situation

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has been left with a situation to resolve heading into the summer transfer window regarding Brahim Diaz.

MilanNews writes how for the first time this season – apart from when he had Coronavirus – Brahim Diaz has not played even a minute for two games in a row as the Spaniard was dropped from the starting line up for the games against Hellas Verona and Atalanta.

Normally when he has lost his starting spot he has been coming on to try and impact the game while in progress with the space being opened up, but he remained on the bench for all 90 minutes in both games.

It seems as though Diaz is paying for the bad performances and the inconsistency he has been having from October to today as he has lost his place in the hierarchy for the role of attacking midfielder, as he is now behind Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic.

Given he is on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid it may well raise questions about whether his loan could be terminated early.
