MN: Donnarumma rejects PSG and Spurs – renewal until 2023 agreed with Milan

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has rejected advances from other clubs and will sign a new deal until 2023, it is claimed.

There has been a lot of speculation in the media about Donnarumma’s future given his current contract expires in 2021, meaning Milan must either agree a new deal with the 21-year-old or strongly consider selling him to avoid the risk of him leaving for free next year.

According to Luca Serafini of MilanNews, Donnarumma has instructed Raiola about his will to remain the Rossoneri, even if it meant lower his salary and/or spreading it over more years.

The only condition was to understand that he will be at the centre of the project and, of course, that there is a project. The renewal is practically agreed until 2023, with the Italy international having said no to PSG and Tottenham.

The renewal of Donnarumma is a choice by the management to hold on to some of the values and a key figure who loves the club, something which will be important in helping Ralf Rangnick adjust to Serie A.
