MN: Ibrahimovic hypothesis questioned as Fox Sports gig would clash with Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly looking to step up his responsibility at AC Milan, but his role as a pundit at the World Cup has put everything in doubt.

There could be a revolution of sorts at Milan this summer, with Igli Tare already expected to leave and Giorgio Furlani potentially giving him company. Meanwhile, the RedBird men Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Massimo Calvelli had a meeting with Gerry Cardinale in London on Thursday.

By the sounds of it, as MilanNews states, Ibrahimovic is looking to increase his influence at the club and given the current disaster, Cardinale also wants his closest men on the case. In other words, the Swede and Calvelli are the chosen ones.

Scheduling conflicts

However, as the report continues, there is one big problem with Ibrahimovic stepping up his role from this summer. Indeed, he has an agreement with Fox Sports to be one of their expert pundits during the World Cup tournament.

This subsequently means that he will be in the United States for a large part of the summer, which would clash with the duties in Milan. Whether he can do both is a very tough question to answer, but one thing is clear: it doesn’t leave the Rossoneri fans with a lot of confidence.
