MN: Kamada to be Milan’s first summer signing as five-year deal is ready

AC Milan are in advanced talks with Daichi Kamada and the Japanese international is expected to be the first signing of the summer. Indeed, the announcement appears to be imminent, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, Milan and Kamada have reached an agreement in principle and the final acceleration will come after the DFB-Pokal clash between Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig on Saturday evening.

A five-year contract worth €3m per year is ready for Kamada, who also rejected the approaches of Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. He gave priority to Milan and this was a key in the negotiations, with medicals scheduled for next week.

Kamada will likely replace Brahim Diaz, who now looks set to return to Real Madrid as the latter have decided to keep the No.10. In addition, Milan never intended on paying more than €20m, which was always going to be tough to accomplish given the stubbornness of the Bernabeu side.
