MN: Milan determined to sign important player in key position

The AC Milan management are determined to sign another forward before the window shuts in 15 days.

That is according to MilanNews.it‘s Anto Vitiello, who claims that results in preseason have provided enough evidence to suggest that the team may have trouble scoring goals.

As a result the Rossoneri leadership are convinced that they need an ‘important signing’ in attack.

This stems from doubts over whether Samu Castillejo and Andre Silva can excel in their roles as deputy to (at this point) Rafa Leao and Krzysztof Piatek respectively.

There is also concern that Piatek may not find the same form he did last season given his preseason struggles, and that the team may need help from other players.

The report goes on to add that Angel Correa is viewed as the primary target, but it is described as a difficult deal and one that requires Milan or Atletico to take a step forward.

The Rossoneri, however, have no intention of going beyond the €40million plus €5m in bonuses offered a month ago.
