MN: Milan exploring Lukaku option with Chelsea – Roc Nation partnership could be key

Another source has confirmed that AC Milan have opened talks with Romelu Lukaku’s entourage about a possible move for the striker.

According to MilanNews, Milan spoke with Lukaku’s entourage in the last few hours about the notion of switching the city divide and joining the Rossoneri from Chelsea after his loan at Inter expires.

However, he could only become a concrete option if he were to agree to lower his salary. Despite this, the relationship between Milan and Chelsea has been good for some time, as the Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori deals show.

If Lukaku were open to joining Milan – which is not a given because of his ties to Inter – then the management would revise their position on Marcus Thuram, who would thus slip away.

The Rossoneri remain ready to close for the Frenchman after offering €5m net per season to him, in the event that the Lukaku talks do not produce any concrete developments.

The relationship between Milan and Roc Nation – who look after Lukaku’s interests – should also be remembered, given that in July 2020 it was announced that the two organisations would embark on a partnership.
