MN: Milan’s probable XI vs. Udinese – Giroud recovers with Pioli set to name unchanged XI

Ahead of AC Milan’s Serie A fixture against Udinese, reports have emerged that head coach Stefano Pioli is set to name no changes following the win against AS Roma.

MilanNews writes that Stefano Pioli is set to stick with the eleven that played so well last weekend against Roma, given the performance and that Milan came away from the game unscathed on the injury front.

Mike Maignan will start in goal, as usual, and Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia will protect him centrally after both impressed against the Giallorossi. Regardless of the fact he gave away the penalty, Davide Calabria will flank them on the right, and Theo Hernandez will start on the left of the four.

The midfield three will again be composed of Yacine Adli, who scored his first Rossoneri goal last weekend, Tijjani Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. It is believed it will be a flat midfield trio, nevertheless, if the game allows the Englishman to drift forward, he will do so and act as the Trequartista.

In the past few hours, doubts about Olivier Giroud’s condition have been lessened – the Frenchman was reportedly suffering from a fever – but it looks like he will be fine to play after returning to training at Milanello. After being awarded the U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year, Christian Pulisic will feature on the right, on the left Rafael Leao will start.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Adli, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.
