MN: Milan switch from Vlahovic-type targets to free transfer opportunities – the strategy explained

The strategy of the Milan management regarding reinforcements for the attack has become clear, according to a report.

According to MilanNews, it was presumed before that in the event of Champions League qualification a possible big signing in terms of economic expenditure could be made, but now there seems to have been a change to free transfer profiles to allocate resources to other areas.

This is why there is renewed interest in Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud, who was also offered to Milan in January and is a path to be followed with great attention. The clean-up of Milan’s accounts continues, and in October they will be the subject of discussion during talks over the Settlement Agreement with UEFA.

The agreement limits investments of a certain extent and thus the Dusan Vlahovic idea – a player who has been followed for a long time – lapses by logic given that Fiorentina do not intend to give discounts on their asking price. The 21-year-old was one of the profiles in which – with more prosperous accounts – the property would have preferred to invest in terms of age, potential and development.

Amine Adli of Toulouse is an additional option to the attacking department, as the attacking midfield department will need to be fleshed out, especially on the right where Samu Castillejo seems set to leave.
