MN: Milan’s intentions clear regarding Chelsea’s Tomori but Caldara’s future is uncertain

Milan seem likely to use their option to sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea, according to a report.

MilanNews writes how the English defender hasn’t missed a match since January and continues to show great reliability, being described as a ‘perfect acquisition’ by the management. The player arrived with the formula of a loan with option to buy for €28million and there is the firm will to buy him permanently from Chelsea.

The words of the coach Stefano Pioli after the match against Parma are clear and unequivocal: “My will and the technical area are clear on the satisfaction that this player has given us. Without detracting from our excellent defenders, he has very important characteristics of speed and physicality. Our will is to keep him.”

Mattia Caldara could return to Milan too this summer. He was bought by the Rossoneri in the summer of 2018 and loaned to Atalanta in January 2020 after a difficult period, on an 18-month deal with an option to buy of €16m.

Le Dea will not be exercising that option so Caldara will return to Milanello and together with Pioli and the management will decide whether he remains to earn a place or immediately has to find a new club.
