MN: Probable Milan XI to face Atalanta – one selection dilemma for Pioli to resolve

More team news is continuing to filter from Milanello ahead of Sunday’s game against Atalanta in Bergamo, according to a report.

As MilanNews writes, Milan are continuing to prepare for the decisive match against Atalanta on Sunday evening and head coach Stefano Pioli should keep a large part of the starting XI that took the field against Cagliari the same.

That would mean that Gianluigi Donnarumma would be protected by a back four of Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez with Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie the double pivot. At the moment, the only doubt concerns the battke between Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao. If the former starts, Hakan Calhanoglu would play on the left wing, whereas he would be the No.10 and Leao would be on the left if Pioli went with the Portuguese.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Leao/Brahim; Rebic.
