MN: Probable Milan XI to face Empoli – Calabria expected to get the nod

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli appears to have settled on the starting line-up that he will field against Empoli tomorrow night.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, it will be up to Ciprian Tatarusanu to replace the injured Mike Maignan, with Davide Calabria expected to start at right-back, and Fode Ballo-Toure at left-back. The centre-back pairing should be one of Pierre Kalulu or Simon Kjaer with Fikayo Tomori.

The double pivot should be Tommaso Pobega and Sandro Tonali, thus giving Ismael Bennacer the chance to rest, with Charles De Ketelaere ahead of them in the playmaker role.

The attack should then be completed by Alexis Saelemaekers on the right wing with Rafael Leao on the left wing and Olivier Giroud as the centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu/Kjaer, Tomori, Ballo-Toure; Pobega, Tonali; Saelemaekers, De Ketelaere, Leao; Giroud.
