Last night a sold out San Siro was present to watch Milan book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League, something which in itself unlocks more revenues through ticket sales and tournament prize money.
MilanNews writes that the revenues generated from ticket sales for the game against the Austria champions was almost €5m, as a result of 74,292 spectators being present, and that means the club have exceeded the €30m mark for revenues obtained from the box office for home matches in the 2022-23 season.
The exact total is €33,281,554, and it is a testament to the enthusiasm and support of a fan base that are enjoying being competitive on two fronts after some difficult years in between, with an average of over 72,000 fans having attended the league home games thus far.
