Malick Thiaw is hoping to follow the lead of Pierre Kalulu and convince Stefano Pioli in the opportunities that he gets, a report claims.
MilanNews recall how Thiaw came on during the game against Roma on Saturday with Fikayo Tomori having sustained a hip problem, and he did well overall with Tammy Abraham’s goal not his fault.
Kalulu meanwhile is now a certainty of this Milan having earned that role with hard work and commitment following his arrival from Lyon as a relative unknown. He has become an example to follow for players like Thiaw but also Charles De Ketelaere with his attitude.
Thiaw began his experience at Milan with a difficult first half of the season in which he was barely used, but since the World Cup he has had more use with performances of the highest level in the Champions League.
Patience is a virtue, while there are rumours suggesting that Tomori is attracting interest from Tottenham and Manchester United.
Even though the Englishman has never expressed a desire to leave, that interest and the fact Simon Kjaer will turn 35 this year means the management must think of the future, and Thiaw could thus earn a bigger role.
