The latest and hottest name surrounding AC Milan’s transfer market is certainly Romain Faivre of Brest, as the club continue to look for a playmaker.
MilanNews writes how directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to increase the quality of the attacking department after the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu, something which has not yet been covered numerically despite Brahim Diaz’s return, and that is why they have opened talks over Faivre.
Faivre came through the youth sector of Tours and in 2017 he moved to Monaco, becoming part of their B-team. The following season he made four senior appearances totalling 341 minutes, but he decided to move to Brest in search of more consistent playing time. With his new club he racked up 37 appearances in his first season (36 in Ligue 1 and 1 in Coupe de la Ligue), scoring 6 goals and 5 assists. This season, he has 2 assists in 3 games and dazzled against PSG.
Why do Milan want him? Well, the management are looking for a man who can create numerical superiority with quality on the ball. He has improved his main characteristics, such as dribbling and ball control, building on his excellent attacking skills and tactical intelligence.
Not only that, but he can play in multiple roles too such as central midfield, playmaker but also as a winger and even deeper if needed.
