Over the past 12 months or so, there have been several suggestions that the management could be reshaped. Each part has been looked at heavily, whether it has been Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Giorgio Furlani.
Even in the summer, Furlani went to Cardinale regarding Ibrahimovic’s position and micro changes were made there and then.
Now, a wider evaluation will take place, perhaps with decisions coming before the summer. In theory, this would bring an aligned management ready to attack the future to ensure everyone was on the same page.
Changes at the top?
This morning, Matteo Moretto gave a bit of information about the situation, stating that ‘assessments will be made’, as MilanNews relays from his words on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel.
“Milan, after turbulent and difficult years, is ever closer to qualifying for next season’s Champions League, which would be a very, very important result for the club: it would mean returning to a competition that Milan knows well.
“Certainly, from a sporting point of view, there is no reason to complain: the Rossoneri, despite the defeat in Naples, will do everything to achieve this goal.
“Whether it’s the Champions League or not, Cardinale will evaluate between now and the end of the season to determine how and whether to improve the Rossoneri organisation: I’m speaking from both a sporting and a corporate perspective.
“We need to understand how the season will end, but there will certainly be a face-to-face meeting with Cardinale in charge. RedBird will decide which path to take. We’ll update you if there are any changes or improvements.”
It is not definite that people will leave or join. Rather, the operation will be reviewed; if parts aren’t fully aiding, decisions may be made.
