Nazione: Milan remain interested in Fiorentina centre-back who won Copa America

AC Milan remain interested in signing Fiorentina centre-back German Pezzella but there is plenty of competition, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of La Nazione (via FirenzeViola) focuses on the situation of Pezzella after his agent was spotted in the Campo di Marte area in the last few days, which has reopened the rumours about a possible farewell for the Argentine.

The paper reports that there is no shortage of interest in Serie A where Atalanta, Milan and now Cagliari have all registered interest, the latter especially keen if Diego Godin were to leave them before the new season. There is also talk of interest from abroad.

Among other things, the relationship between Cagliari and Fiorentina after the Sottil operation is good, but it remains to be seen whether the 30-year-old defender would accept the destination or whether he would push for a solution that would allow him to play in European competition.
