TMW: Newcastle looking to disrupt Milan’s centre-back search again after Botman saga

Newcastle United could once again disrupt AC Milan’s transfer plans after they signed Sven Botman as they are also targeting Japhet Tanganga, a report claims.

Among the issues that AC Milan must tackle this summer is the signing of a new centre-back to replace the outgoing Alessio Romagnoli, and with Botman now off the table they have had to switch targets.

Calciomercato.com among other sources are reporting that Milan have resumed contacts with the agents of Spurs centre-back Japhet Tanganga. The Englishman is a profile to be taken into consideration because Spurs seem willing to accept a loan with option to buy formula.

According to what TMW are now reporting, Newcastle also have a concrete interest in signing Tanganga too. Not only that, but the Magpies would be willing to sign the 23-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy, a formula very welcome to Spurs as it would guarantee them income.
