AC Milan have confirmed that defender Andrea Conti suffered a first-degree shoulder sprain in Sunday’s loss to Torino.

Conti was withdrawn in the 71st minute in favour of winger Samu Castillejo, and there were fears that the former Atalanta man had suffered a serious shoulder problem, possibly a fracture.
Now, the club has confirmed via a statement on their website confirming that he did not sustain a fracture and instead would undergo further tests.
“We can confirm that AC Milan defender Andrea Conti has suffered an injury to his left shoulder following a collision during the Torino v Milan game on Sunday, the 28 April,” the statement reads.
“The player underwent radiological exams which have excluded any fractures but confirmed a first-degree sprain to the acromioclavicular joint. Conti will undergo further examinations in the coming hours.”
It is not known the length of time the 24-year-old will be out for, though as it is not a dislocation he could be back in 2-3 weeks.
