Official: AC Milan confirm Tonali has renewed his contract until 2027

AC Milan have announced the contract renewal of Sandro Tonali, who has become a key player for the club since joining from Brescia back in 2020.

Tonali was at Casa Milan this afternoon to sign his contract renewal, which has been on the cards for quite some time. When he was signed permanently from Brescia last summer, he agreed to lower his salary and thus a pay rise was expected.

On their official website, AC Milan confirmed that the midfielder has signed a deal that will keep him at the club until 2027, rather than 2026 as per the old deal. Given that Tonali is a die-hard Rossoneri fan, he won’t push to leave anyway.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the extension of Sandro Tonali’s contract until 30 June 2027,” the statement read.

It’s believed that his salary has been doubled, which would give him a salary of around €3m per year.

Tonali is expected to start tomorrow’s clash between Milan and Sampdoria, teaming up with Tommaso Pobega in the midfield tandem. The latter hasn’t played that much and will need the guidance of the No.8.
