L’Equipe: French giants to challenge Fenerbahce for Milan midfielder

In recent months, Fenerbahce has been the favourite to land Rade Krunic. However, new reports suggest that AC Milan will also be hearing from a French club for the services of the Bosnian.

The past three months have been highly tumultuous for Milan and Rade Krunic. In the summer, the 30-year-old was deemed unsellable by the club. Now, he is destined to leave the club, with an exit in January looking likely.

In the summer, Fenerbahce knocked on the Rossoneri’s door. However, with Ismael Bennacer injured, the club could not act in time to allow Krunic to depart while bringing in the right player. Their interest has never died down, and neither has Krunic’s interest in joining them.

However, they look set to face a challenge to capture the man whom they have tried to lure for months. L’Equipe (Via GetFootballNewsFrance) writes that Olympique Lyonnais have identified the 30-year-old as a potential target following their transfer restrictions being eased as they attempt to prevent themselves from relegation to Ligue 2.
