Moretto: Spot lost and interest from abroad – Milan’s Krunic ‘stomach ache’

By Ben Dixon -

AC Milan has an ongoing issue with Rade Krunic, and as such, it seems as though the writing is on the wall for the parties, with a January sale being considered.

The midfielder was deemed non-transferable in the summer, due to qualms regarding a back-up for Ismael Bennacer. Nevertheless, just four months later, that status has been removed, and Milan is open to his exit.

Matteo Moretto (via Radio Rossonera) has said that Krunic has been suffering from a metaphorical ‘stomachache’ due to what could have occurred over the summer.

Over the summer mercato, Krunic was deemed a big player for the Rossoneri. However, given Stefano Pioli’s preference for his midfield three being Yunus Musah, Tijjani Reijnders, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the Bosnian has had no look into the midfield – at least in a starting capacity.

The game against Frosinone is the first time the midfielder has spent the full game amongst the substitutes. However, this has been coming for some, given the reports that have swirled around him and Fenerbache’s continued efforts to gain his services.

The report suggests that the Bosnian is held up on what could have been, which has taken his mind away from football.

As a result, Milan will seemingly let him see what could be, should they receive an offer from the Turkish outlet that matches their valuation of the 30-year-old – which is rumoured to be €10million.

  1. Who the hell is gonna pay 10m for this guy? There are thousands of players who are younger, more capable and cheaper than 10m. Milan must stop being delusional and just accept the fact that no amount of money is gonna compare to the huge step up in playing style and effectiveness the team is gonna have once we are not playing with Krunic week in week out

      1. Hah. Turtle going to defend Krunic to the very end. All you have to do is look at Milan’s record when Krunic starts vs when he doesn’t. I believe even Pioli has had to come to that realization now that his job is on the line.

    1. They’ll probably have to take less than that now. All Pioli’s refusal to sell him in the summer did was cost this team money and points.

  2. Its only a couple games tbh. I’d like to see what happens the next few games..but this looks like Pioli was pressured into putting him on the bench (given all that has happened until now in terms of his team selections). It would really odd if the next few games are like this. Wonder if this came out of the 2hr long meeting 🤔

  3. Krunic fanboys or friends and family as I can not understand how a real AC Milan fan can support the idea of Rade Krunic wearing our shirt are getting salty.

So, so beautiful to read their comments reeking of desperation and disappointment. The same feeling we real AC Milan fans had to endure for years every time we took a look at the player lineup.
