Origi previews Milan-Cremonese and admits: “I must express myself on the pitch”

Ahead of tonight’s clash between AC Milan and Cremonese at San Siro, Divock Origi spoke to the media about the Rossoneri’s chances. Given the tight top-four race, it’s a must-win for them.

Origi came off the bench against Roma last time but had a minimal impact. This time out, he will play from the first minute and Stefano Pioli is hoping that he can find the back of the net, breaking a long goal drought (last goal came in January).

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Origi shared his thoughts on the game and his own situation. It’s been a tough season for him overall and he needs to bounce back as soon as possible.

What kind of match will it be against Cremonese?

“It will be an important match for us and for them. We have to do well, we have the support of our fans. We have prepared it well.”

What emotions do you feel playing at the San Siro?

“Playing at San Siro is incredible, having the fans next to us helps. And it’s nice to fight for such important goals.”

How are you feeling?

“I feel good, physically. I’m happy to play, but I must express myself on the pitch.”

Should he fail to perform tonight as well, then Ante Rebic and Olivier Giroud will be ready off the bench. In any case, it will be very interesting to see Milan tonight as Pioli has made seven changes to the starting XI.
