Giampaolo Pazzini has shared his thoughts on the derby between AC Milan and Inter, stating that he doesn’t think it will be a spectacular game.

Pazzini has played for both Milan teams, just like Bobo Vieri who also did an interview today, so the Derby della Madonnina is something he’s very familiar with. With the red and black shirt, however, he only got some cameos off the bench in the fixture.
Either way, the former striker definitely knows enough to have a qualified say on tomorrow’s game. While it could have been a very good clash, with a five-point gap fully possible a few weeks back, Milan squandered their chance to make it interesting.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sera (via MilanNews), this is exactly what Pazzini highlighted, saying that it will probably be a very cagey affair. Of course, both teams will want to win but the feeling is that the game has lost some spark with the big gap in the standings.
On the game…
“The derby is always wonderful, but I don’t expect a spectacular match. The teams will be careful, perhaps they will risk something in the second half because both will want to win. In general, I expect a tactical derby.”
Will Inter secure the Scudetto if they win?
“Yes, there’s no point beating around the bush. A 13-point lead would be decisive. Even 10 points is still a lot because Inter will only have the Coppa Italia. Winning the derby would give Milan enthusiasm, and they would want to give it a try. However, I see Inter as strong favourites.”
What do you think about Allegri and Chivu?
“Both have done a wonderful job. Allegri has given AC Milan an identity and now they are fighting for their rightful place. Chivu is also doing something important. There was a lot of scepticism around him, but he’s brought energy and soul back to a team that was very demoralised last year,” he stated.
