Pazzini praises De Ketelaere and highlights one key aspect: “I was impressed”

Charles De Ketelaere made his official debut for AC Milan in the game against Udinese last night and he didn’t disappoint. He showed what he can bring to the side and former Rossoneri striker Giampaolo Pazzini was very impressed.

The negotiations were long and tiring but Milan managed to reach an agreement with Club Brugge at €35m. Since then, De Ketelaere has made three appearances for Milan (two friendlies) and all three of them were very positive.

For a player of his age (21), he isn’t afraid to get on the ball and that is an aspect that sometimes can be overlooked with young players. Speaking to DAZN, as cited by MilanNews, the former Milan striker Pazzini praised the Belgian for exactly that.

“He looked good, immediately with great desire. He’s not only technical, but he reads and understands the game. He proved to be available. He’s able to play in all three roles behind the striker, I was impressed by the personality with which he went to ask his teammates for the ball: with a sold out San Siro that isn’t easy,” he stated.

It remains to be seen if De Ketelaere will play from start against Atalanta next weekend, but it looks unlikely given Brahim Diaz’s display yesterday. Unless Stefano Pioli decides to start him on the right, that is.
