Ismael Bennacer sustained a knee injury in AC Milan’s defeat to Inter last and he will be out for the rest of the season. A big blow for the midfielder, who has received the support of his teammate Yacine Adli.

Bennacer played just 17 minutes yesterday and underwent tests after the game. Earlier today, it was revealed that he suffered a post-traumatic cartilage lesion in his right knee. As a result, he will have arthroscopic surgery today/tomorrow.
The midfielder will be out for the rest of the season and is expected to miss the start of the 2023/24 campaign as well. On Instagram, Milan midfielder Yacine Adli sent a heartfelt message to his compatriot.
“You come back when you win, you come back when you lose. Your talent, your work, and your humility will ensure that you can soon return to the top level. I love you brother. With every difficulty there is relief,” he wrote.
