Olivier Giroud has been the hero for AC Milan in the last two games at San Siro but Stefano Pioli will be without him for tonight’s game against Cremonese due to injury.

Giroud got a yellow card he received on Saturday night against Spezia after taking his shirt off following the late winner he scored, and La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) confirm that Divock Origi will have the task of leading the line.
His goals will be needed because thus far the Belgian has only one (against Monza) since his arrival, while the paper also mentions that Pioli is inclined to give Rafael Leao some rest and therefore Origi – in addition to Ante Rebic – must step up.
Milan need to return from Cremona with all three points to keep hold of second place in the standings and to keep up the pressure on Napoli, who at the moment are at the top with a six-point advantage over the Rossoneri.
Pioli – who must also do without Theo Hernandez in defence, also out due to suspension – will therefore rely on the power of Origi and Rebic who will have to drag the Diavolo towards a victory of vital importance.
