Plizzari: “I would like to follow Donnarumma’s footsteps”

In a recent interview with Corriere Dello Sport, while on International duty with Italy’s U20 side, AC Milan goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari talked about his future with the Rossoneri.

“I don’t know what will happen in the future and Donnarumma remains an absolute number one. I only know that Milan are focusing a lot on me and that it would be a dream to retrace Gigio’s steps, both in the Rossoneri and in the Azzurri. He’s a great friend of mine,” he stated. 

The youngster, now 19-years-old, has enormous potential and it will be tough for Milan to make full use of that, at least as long as Donnarumma is at the club. Take a look at Plizzari’s brilliant penalty save for Italy below; should he stay or leave loan out next season?
