CorSera: PSG’s persistent stalling an ally for Milan in Renato Sanches chase

As the days tick by, Renato Sanches is reportedly no closer to knowing what his next club will be ahead of the new season.

According to Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the future of Lille midfielder continues to be very uncertain but one thing is for sure: he will be at either AC Milan or Paris Saint-Germain in the 2022-23 campaign, as Lille’s president confirmed.

PSG are a very welcome destination for the 24-year-old former Bayern Munich man as he would reunite with Luis Campos and Christophe Galtier again, who were the sporting director and head coach of Lille respectively when they won the Ligue 1 title in 2020-21.

However, the Parisians are continuing to stall on actually negotiating with Lille and aiming to agree a fee for Sanches, whose deal expires in 2023. Milan are waiting for him, and the passing of time is certainly an ‘ally’ of the Rossoneri who remain at the window, optimistic that he will soon grow tired of waiting.
