Christian Pulisic’s situation at AC Milan should be relatively straightforward, yet there are ongoing questions about the summer mercato.

It has been a strange few months where Milan are concerned with Pulisic. Indeed, the American has struggled with injuries this season, and he started phenomenally. However, his most recent spell sidelined has really had an impact.
He has not scored in 2026 just yet, and the Rossoneri need him to improve his performances if he is to help the team during the final run-in.
His form at the end of the season could also be important for the summer. At the moment, there are no talks about his renewal, whilst interest in him from the Premier League is only growing. If he starts to score again, everyone benefits, whatever happens, if he stays or goes.
Pulisic’s interview
Today, he spoke to Men’s Journal whilst on international duty with the United States, and he was asked about the situations, as MilanNews relay.
The US national team’s squad list for these two friendlies in March has been released, and of course, you’re included. With the World Cup just around the corner, are you starting to feel like you’re playing?
“Yes, obviously, it’s our last chance to really prepare, to play a couple of games, see some of the guys again, and get ready for the big event, which is obviously getting closer. And it gives us a good opportunity to understand where we are and prepare as best we can. But it seems like it’s getting closer and closer.”
Returning to soccer, your US national team coach, Mauricio Pochettino, recently commented on your performances at AC Milan, including your goal drought. He was very encouraging and said he was satisfied with your overall performance. How much do words like that mean to you?
“I always appreciate the support. It doesn’t worry me too much. I feel like I’m in a really good moment, and I’m also playing well. So it’s been a pretty interesting period. I always feel like you can play really poorly and, if you score a couple of goals, people will praise you. And the opposite can also happen.
“You just have to keep moving forward. That’s how a career goes, with ups and downs. I’m just trying to keep playing well, stay in good physical shape, and feel good. And that’s the most important thing.”
When you look at his system and his way of doing things, how is it different or similar to those you’ve played in in the past, both with the national team and in Europe?
“Yeah, I mean, I think we’ve used different lineups, but I think he brings a different dynamic to the team. He brings that fighting spirit, that grit. He builds a really strong culture and a group of guys who will fight, fight to the death. And I think that’s where we feel like we’ve grown the most.”
Last question. There are a lot of transfer rumours in Europe right now. Are you paying attention to any of these rumours, or do you just deal with them as they arise?
“Yes, to be honest, most people ask me what it’s about, and I say I haven’t even seen it. I really don’t know. I think there’s always a right time and place. Usually, it’s not when I’m in the middle of the season and playing.
“I don’t talk to my agent about the club or going somewhere. It doesn’t affect me that much, so it doesn’t affect me at all. Of course, when the time comes, we’ll talk about it and there are options, but this isn’t the right time.
“And I’m happy to be here right now. So I’m focusing as much as possible on that.”
