It has been a troubling start to the year for Pulisic, who has struggled with injury throughout the season. However, his performances cannot be excused too much; he is below the standard expected of him.
Since the game against Hellas Verona, the American has not found the back of the net, as MilanPress relays from Tuttosport, meaning he is now 82 days without the glory of a goal.
Pulisic’s turnaround
It is unusual for Pulisic to be struggling so much. Across his time at San Siro, he has never faced these issues. So, questions need to be asked of the cause, nothing needs to be said about the effect, the form this year speaks for itself.
This weekend, then, against Torino, he will aim to get back on the scoresheet, hopefully with a trademark performance. Against Torino earlier in the season, he was superb, and it was one of his finest showings.
Perhaps it is as simple as him rolling back the tapes, and re-finding the form, hopefully against the victim of one of his best performances this season. One thing is known, a turnaround is needed soon.
